Update: 12 p.m. :
Georgia State Patrol provided some additional details about the Saturday night wreck that saw one dead and one injured on Highway 101.
Officials reported that at 8:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling west on Live Oak Road. The black Yamaha custom motorcycle being driven by James Harold Hulsey, 53, was heading north on Highway 101 at the same time.
The GSP reported that the driver of the pickup truck failed to yield when coming up on Live Oak Road (which across Highway 101 turns into Collard Valley Road) and the left side of the truck made contact with the front of the motorcycle.
Official reports are incomplete at this time. There’s still no word on the condition of the passenger on the motorcycle as well.

Update 11:10 a.m.:
A man died on his way to Floyd Medical Center for emergency treatment following a wreck involving a motorcycle late Saturday night.
Polk County Coroner Norman Smith said the next of kin have been notified of the death of James Harold Hulsey, 53, who died of injuries sustained when his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle sometime between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at Highway 101 and Collard Valley Road.
Hulsey was being transported by EMS to Floyd Medical Center when he passed from his injuries, Smith explained.
His body is being transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for further autopsy.
Smith said details about the condition of the passenger on the motorcycle were still unavailable as of this morning.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck. The agency has been sought for additional information.

Full details are not yet available, but one person has died in a wreck at the intersection of Highway 101 at Collard Valley Road where Burton’s Store is located in the Aragon area.
According to Polk County Coroner Norman Smith, one victim has been reported to have died in the wreck and another was airlifted to an Atlanta-area medical center for treatment.
Specific details about the wreck have not yet been made available, but Georgia State Patrol was called in to investigate the wreck.
