South Paulding ROTC wins state title

The Spartans are champs thanks to a competition this past weekend that saw the squad of young men and women working together toward bringing home a title.

The South Paulding High School Raider team with the Spartan JROTC program won a state championship during the November 2 State Rader Challenge with four first place finishes and placing third in another mixed team event.

“Their effort brings great credit to the Spartan JROTC Battalion (at) South Paulding High School and the United States Army,” the school wrote in their congratulatory post on Facebook earlier in the week. “Please make time to congratulate and recognize their efforts.”

It marks the first time that any team at South Paulding has brought home a state title in competition.
