It hasn’t quite gone the way the Cedartown Lady Bulldogs have hoped as they’ve gotten deep into region play, and find themselves in a bad streak of losses here in mid September.
Their latest outing continued a skid to seven in a row on Monday as the Lady Bulldogs fell to 7-11 overall to the Bowdon Lady Red Devils on the road in a 5-0 shutout.
Cedartown’s last win came over Southeast Whitfield in their second victory over the Lady Raiders on August 24, and ever since they’ve not found any luck after dropping a series to Central Carroll, then falling to Northwest Whitfield and Sonoraville on Sept. 7 and last Tuesday.
A homestand to Bowdon and then a trip back to Sonoraville on Wednesday and Thursday last week brought them up to 10 losses.
They’ve got a chance at redemption in a series against Northwest on the road and at home today and Thursday. They face Heritage on Sept. 26 and Sept. 28, and follow that up with four region games to finish off three-game series against Sonoraville, Southeast Whitfield, Heritage and Central to cap off the season in October.
