The Cedartown Lady Bulldogs wrapped up a pair of scrimmage games held this past Saturday and Tuesday, with the resulting win over Woodland in Game 2 a good start ahead of the actual beginning of the season.

The Lady Bulldogs scored a 4-2 win over the Woodland Lady Wildcats on their home turf on Tuesday evening, which though it didn’t count gave opportunity for sisters Anslei and Autumn Boatner to play pitch against the Woodland offense during the scrimmage. Their August 1 game was strictly and intra-squad game for the Lady Bulldogs to warm up for the start of the season.

Cedartown’s season kicks off on August 11 on the road at Cartersville, then the Lady Bulldogs return home to face off against rival Rockmart before traveling for tournament play on August 15 in Dalton, and are back home on August 19 hosting Haralson County and Bremen on August 20. One more homestand against Central in a double header is on the books before the Lady Bulldogs play Rockmart again on the road on August 26, head to Central on August 27, and finish out the month on August 29 in tournament play at Haralson County.
