The Cedartown Lady Bulldogs are in the running, but aren’t on top of the mountain just yet.
Cedartown finished off the regular season with a 17-12 record and just above .500 in Region 7-AAAA at 11-10, earning them a berth at a fourth seed in the first round of the playoffs.
They’ll have to travel to Cambridge on Wednesday for a double header against the Lady Bears, and if they can split will have an if-necessary game on Thursday to finish off the first round.
Cedartown is coming into the playoffs with a win under their belt, snapping a four-game skid in region play. They finished off the regular season with a non-region victory over South Paulding’s Lady Spartans with a 4-2 win.
Should the Lady Bulldogs put up a win in the first round, they’ll travel to play the winner of Midtown-Harris County next week on October 22 and 23.
