A number of honors were bestowed upon Rockmart Yellow Jackets in the region after a fifth region title in a row and an appearance in the playoffs.

Among those with high honors this year on the first team include Terrion Webb, Brent Washington, and Dennis Sims on the first-team defense for Region 6-AAA.

JD Davis, Jakari Clark, Montreas Simmons, Clayton Floyd and Jose Alegria all made the first-team offense for the region this year as well.

Mason Phillips was recognized on the second-team defense along with Deidric Gibson and Keyshaun McCullough. Offensive players also honored included Cam Ferguson, Washington, Sims, Grant Liks, Zylen Middlebrooks, Hugo Rangel and Jojo Haynes.

Rockmart also got some honorable mention nods for Nahzir Turner, Bobby High, Nyreon Cooper, Braylon Jones and Daquan Banks.

The Jackets finished their year in the first round of the playoffs against a tough matchup facing Stephens County (Toccoa) after going through region undefeated and taking a second title in a row for 6-AAA, and three in years past in AA.
