The Cedartown Middle School Football Cheer squad is seeking runners help with fundraising efforts as the First Annual POLK Color Run kicks off on August 7.
Registration is open now for the upcoming event being held at Cedartown Middle School, and runners can pay $30 to participate before the July 31 deadline for the lower-priced admission to participate.
The fee includes an event t-shirt for the run this year. Children’s and additional shirts are available for $12 each. Shirts are not guaranteed for anyone who signs up with late online registration after July 31.
This year’s Color Run is being held for a variety of good causes, promoting awareness for conditions and issues like mental health, autism, multiple sclerosis, cancer, Down’s syndrome, suicide awareness, and most importantly for acceptance, family, fun, the county, and love.
Registration information is available in the embedded Eventbrite page below.
The race kicks off at 9 a.m. on August 7 after check-in begins at 7 a.m. All colors being used during the run will be non-toxic, but there’s a potential for permanent staining of clothes. Organizers are not responsible for any clothing that becomes ruined in the run.
Sponsor donations are also available for businesses who want to participate, and logos will be included on the backs of every shirt provided to participants. Those will begin collecting on July 16.
