Another big win for the Rockmart Yellow Jackets has the boys basketball squad on an early season roll as they hosted their latest against Chattooga on Tuesday, and have another coming up on Friday night.

A 95-53 victory over the Indians saw the Jackets nab a 42-point win at home. It comes after last week’s season opener over Mt. Zion Carroll in a 73-42 victory.

Sam Johnson and Treylin Davis both posted 30 point games in the Tuesday night win. The pair got many of those points off of field goals, with Johnson going 10-for-19 from three point range and Davis going 12-for-17.

Hunter Atkins also won a Hard Hat award from the team on Tuesday night with nine points. Trey Luke, M.J. Berry and Trevian Tibbs all nabbed shots on the night as well, though all four of the remaining scorers on the night hit less than 10 points.

Rockmart faces Bowdon at home on Thursday for their third home game in a row as the month closes. They’ll have Heard County at home next Tuesday, December 5 as well.
