Fall league basketball started up over the weekend, and one of Polk County’s own is already showing off on the court.

Sandy Spiel’s Fall League is happening at East Paulding High School through until October on Sundays, and players from around the area are getting the opportunity to show off what skills they have developed since the end of the 2022-23 season.

Among those who are playing right now is Hunter Atkins (same guy who just committed to UGA for baseball) and he’s currently tied for first in rebounding after Game 1 of the season.

Atkins pulled in 11 rebounds during the game, and put up 10 points during the contest as well.

The Fall League squad is back in action this Sunday at East Paulding High School at 7 p.m.
