Spring is already in the air for the Cedartown Bulldogs baseball team, who got their first opportunity to take to the diamond on the season on Monday.

The Bulldogs – set to open their year in a scrimmage at home against Darlington – are hoping to get through a full season for 2021 after their year was cut short amid the opening days of COVID-19 in 2020 last March, but not before they got to play cross-county rival Rockmart.

The Bulldogs will open their schedule in less than 30 days at home on Feb. 11 when they host the Tigers, followed by another homestand on Feb. 16 hosting Haralson County, then travel on Feb. 17 to Darlington.
