Christmas Eve should remain “dry” after a morning of frost and below freezing temps, and Santa Claus should be coming to Polk County without having to worry about the potential for wet weather, per the National Weather Service forecast from Peachtree City.
Expect sunshine for the day and a high of 55 for the first holiday of the week, and a low down overnight to 30 with likelihood of widespread frost for the area.
Per the forecast, that means we’ll wake up to a “white Christmas” locally, but only as long as the sun hasn’t touched that one spot in the yard.

Look for temps to warm up slightly for Christmas Day up to 59, and down 39 with mostly sunny skies on the day and mostly cloudy overnight.
Thursday will be much the same as some of the world celebrates Boxing Day (and folks here head to the stores for Day after Christmas sales and returns…) Look for a high of 58 and cloudy skies, with a low down to 44 as clouds remain overhead.
Per the forecast, the week ends with a 20% chance of rain, but will otherwise be cloudy with a high of 56 and a low down to 47 as rain chances increase to 40%
The weekend forecast calls for more chances of rain and temps up into the 60s during the day, and down into the 50s and 40s overnight on Saturday and Sunday.
Look for the final days of 2024 to end with sunshine and temps into the mid 60s.
