ATLANTA – Yesterday, Sen. Jason Anavitarte (R – Dallas) filed Senate Resolution 565, which would designate the Northwest Georgia Logistics Corridor located in Carroll, Chattooga, Douglas, Floyd, Haralson, Heard, Paulding, Polk, and Walker Counties as an Official Logistics Growth Corridor in Georgia.

“As the number one state in the national in which to do business, we must continue to find innovative ways to bring additional economic growth to Georgia, specifically in our smaller and more rural communities,” said Sen. Anavitarte. “The Northwest Georgia region, in particular, maintains the infrastructure, workforce and distribution operations that would greatly benefit from being officially recognized as an Official Logistics Growth Corridor. Such a designation would be well-earned given our regions’ logistics resources and would establish ourselves as a destination for new business development opportunities.”
