Judge Coomer

Gammon, McFall and Villarreal got a win in a civil case involving a Court of Appeals Judge who previously served in the legislature in the area, according to a report from the AJC.

A settlement between Jim Filhart and Judge Christian Coomer was reported in the past hours by the Atlanta-area paper stated that Coomer has denied allegations of fraud previously in the suit filed in March.

An excerpt from the article:

The settlement was disclosed Tuesday in a motion dismissing the case in Bartow County Superior Court.

“This was a troubling case to discover, troubling in every way an attorney could be disturbed by a case walking into his office,” said Cedartown attorney Wright Gammon, who represents Coomer’s former client, Jim Filhart.
