Four people were sent to the hospital for treatment for injuries following a shooting incident just outside the city limits of Rockmart this evening, according to police officials.

Chief Kenny Dodd confirmed that four individuals were transported to area hospitals this evening following the shooting. No fatalities have been reported in the incident that occurred near the intersection of Morgan Road and Fairview Road, just outside Rockmart proper.

Three of the victims were sent to Wellstar Paulding Medical Center in Dallas, and another was sent to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center.

Per Dodd, police do have a person of interest in custody at this time.
