SUBSCRIBER VIDEO: City, County hold joint meeting to discuss TAD proposal

Cedartown City Commission and Polk County Commissioners – along with a crowd including two of the Board of Education members – gathered on Monday afternoon in a special called session to discuss the Tax Allocation District proposal that only needs a county vote to finish off.

They heard from developers and officials who are putting together numbers on the bonds for the Corners of Cedartown project, which would bring a Publix and other national brands (including Marshall’s, Ross and Five Below,) but needs $10.9 million from bond sales to build the shopping complex on the property.
