RECREATION: Cedartown honors Coaches of the Year for 2021

A husband and wife team worked together to provide a positive experience for local youth in the Cedartown Recreation Department this past year, and thus were named the Coaches of the Year together for 2021.

Recreation Director Jeff Hulsey honored Phillip and Heather Hindmon – who between them coached flag and tackle football, and cheer squads during the 2021 seasons. They also have taken up basketball as well during this winter.

They have four children who also participate in recreation league sports locally.

Hulsey provided the pair with a plaque to show the city’s appreciation for their contributions during the year, and Hulsey thanked all volunteers and coaches.

Signups are currently underway for spring sports.
