Update:
A 19-year-old male was sent to the hospital with multiple injuries after he wrecked a motorcycle off the side of Prior Station Road near the intersection with Dry Creek Road late this afternoon, according to police.
Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd reported the male was spotted by a Polk County Police officer driving past the intersection with Highway 100 and speeding. He was additionally reported to have passed on a double yellow and ran another vehicle off the road.
Unfortunately, the male driver from Cedartown wrecked before the officer could catch up to him off an embankment off the side of Prior Station Road.
He suffered several injuries, and was taken by a LifeFlight to an area hospital for further treatment.
No additional information about his condition was immediately available.

A motorcyclist was injured this afternoon after going off the roadway and has been airlifted out for further treatment, per officials.
Emergency personnel were called out after 5:15 p.m. to Prior Station Road near the intersection of Dry Creek Road when a motorcycle rider was reported to have gone off roadway and down an embankment.
Per officials, the rider injured in the single-vehicle wreck required a LifeFlight airlift for further treatment due to the severity of their injuries.
Police reported he lost control of the motorcycle after driving recklessly at the time.
