Update:

Polk County Police report that the driver of a car sustained only minor injuries in a wreck on Highway 278 at the Fish Creek bridge this afternoon.

Chief Kenny Dodd reported that the car overturned, and based on a video provided to Polk Today, the red passenger car that appears to be a late model Ford Mustang landed in the median.

The name of the driver was not yet released.

A wreck has occurred on Highway 278 at the Fish Creek bridge in between Cedartown and Rockmart.

Law enforcement and EMTs were on the scene as traffic looked blocked via this photo submitted by Commissioner Gary Martin this afternoon.

No information was available from law enforcement about what occurred or if any injuries have been officially reported.
