A holiday meal and gifts for children are in store today for families who applied and were invited to take part in Victory Baptist Church’s Stockings of Love program, in conjunction with several community organizations around Polk County to help those in need during Christmastime.

Last week on December 3, volunteers gathered to begin organizing and determining which children would get what gifts thanks to donations from the community, and starting here in just a few minutes the church’s program will begin offering lunch to participating families, and then a handout of stockings filled with gifts for Christmas.

This year’s event will take social distancing into account and utilize the church’s new fellowship hall during the today’s Christmas dinner and giveaway. Families had to apply for the opportunity to take part.
