On Saturday, families gathered for a holiday dinner with volunteers at Victory Baptist Church for the annual Stockings of Love initiative to provide those youth who would usually go without toys under the tree something to open on Christmas day.

The annual giving featured an opportunity for Victory Baptist youth volunteers to share their vocal talents with a couple of Christmas carols – including Silent Night – and for Pastor Barry Snapp to share a message of love and forgiveness with the story of three trees that one day became a manger, a boat and a cross and how they each got their wish by being part the story of the life of Jesus Christ.

Donations made the giveaway and dinner possible on an annual basis, and families sat together in the fellowship hall but were social distanced and wearing masks due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Families also got a chance to utilize the church’s clothing closet during the event as well.
