Tire Amnesty Day 2025 coming to Camp Antioch on Saturday

Got old tires to get rid of? Or maybe just a lot of plastic bottles to recycle?

Keep Polk Beautiful will be taking both for a limited time on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Camp Antioch in between Cedartown and Rockmart in an upcoming Tire Amnesty Event.

KPB Executive Director Randy Cook noted that during the upcoming event, they’re taking in both tires and now plastic bottles as part of a new plastics recycling effort being spearheaded by the organization across Polk.

“Please bring all your plastic bottles,” Cook requested by email.

Those interested in more information on plastic recycling efforts should contact Cook by email at rcook@cedartowngeorgia.gov.

Anyone who is bringing tires – up to four – must have them removed from the rims before they’ll be accepted by Keep Polk Beautiful to be recycled.

Any additional tires being brought beyond the four per person on the day will cost $5 per tire to be recycled.
