Taco Man has for the past several years been serving up a variety of items from their food truck located outside of the old Sonic Drive In on North Main Street in Cedartown.

Now service is going to expand as they make a move indoors – and just a hop, skip and jump away from where they are now.

Across the street in the shopping center anchored by Badcock Furniture sits a shuttered restaurant – Casey’s Home Cooking. Taco Man is set to open up an dine-in version of their truck in the coming weeks.

The authentic Mexican food establishment has been mobile over these past years, but with the move indoors will get to serve up more than tacos and tortas. Adult beverages will be added to the list of items people can get once indoors.

During the July 10 regular session of the Cedartown City Commission, the board voted unanimously to grant to Honorio Cornejo a beer package license to serve customers with the dine-in version of the restaurant.

Plans are currently to open their doors in August, but an exact date hasn’t been set.

Owners additionally plan to continue serving out of the food truck, but limit it to special events and private catering opportunities only. Those interested should reach out to the number in the following paragraph.
