REPORT: Two jailed after domestic fight; one briefly treated at hospital for cut

A domestic altercation between a pair saw both injured in a fight, but one suspect was seriously cut during the fight at home, according to a Polk County Police report from this past Friday night.

Officers arrested both Savannah Henslee, 33, and Timothy Chad Pettyjohn, 38, both of a Dry Creek Road address after police were called by Pettyjohn following the altercation and noted that he had a cut on his face that was “pouring blood.”

He didn’t want to say what happened between the pair during the incident, but police did report the “deep laceration” on his face that continued to bleed when officers arrived at Dry Creek Road and Highway 100 in western Polk County.

Police also talked to Henslee after their encounter with Pettyjohn, and head the rest of the story. The pair got into an altercation when Pettyjohn was alleged to have struck Henslee first over an argument over a video on the phone, and that punch apparently sent her stumbling backward from where he was sitting.

They then began a mutual fight, and Henslee got in shots on Pettyjohn while he held her by the shirt and hair.

Since both were accusing the other in mutual combat, both were taken into custody by Polk County Police.

Henslee was transported to the Polk County Jail and remained in custody on a $1,000 bond on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.

Pettyjohn was taken to Polk Medical Center for treatment despite initially refusing EMS help with the cut on his face. He was cleared for booking and remains in the Polk County Jail as of this posting on a $1,000 bond for misdemeanor simple battery.
