A debit card left behind with one of the suspect’s name on it ended up being the key piece of evidence in arresting a pair of women attempting to break into a Prior Station Road residence, according to reports.
Officers arrested Alicia Renee Mobbs, 62, and Bonnie Marie White, 53, both of Cedartown addresses, were taken into custody after police caught up with them after they walked away from the Prior Station Road residence when the victim pulled up to check on the house.
Police questioned why Mobbs’ credit card was found wedged into the door attempting to bypass the lock, though Mobbs claimed he had “no recollection of such event.”
A window was broken and a garden tool and the card were left in the door as the pair were alleged to have attempted the break-in. The pair were taken into custody on Wednesday without incident on Wednesday evening, February 5.
White and Mobbs were both charged with felony burglary in the first degree. Both remained in the Polk County Jail as of this posting on a $10,000 bond.
