Polk County Police arrested a man on Monday who was found with child pornography on his device, per investigators working on the case.

Dustin Alan Young, 35, of a Lane Street address in Rockmart, was arrested on Monday afternoon, December 12 by Polk County Police after an investigation was undertaken following an online cyber tip that Young had child pornography on his phone.

Young was found during a search of his phone with the alleged child pornography mentioned in the tip, and he was taken into custody.

Police also found meth and at least one controlled substance on his person when he was taken into custody, which added more charges to Young’s report when he was booked at the Polk County Jail later on Monday afternoon.

He is being held without bond set as of this posting on felony charges of computer pornography, sexual exploitation of children – possession or control any material depicting minor in sexually explicit (edit – end of charge not posted) and for possession of methamphetamine. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of drugs not in original container.

PCPD reported the investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are likely to be filed against Young.
