An 80-year-old man remains behind bars after he was recorded on video shooting out the tire of a woman’s car, according to Polk County Police reports.

Olen Jerry Sisson of a Collard Valley Road address was arrested on Friday afternoon when he gave up without further incident after he shot out the tire of a woman’s vehicle who was living in his home.

The incident was caught on video by the victim on her phone, and she showed police before Sisson was questioned. He initially denied having done anything wrong, but once he realized the incident was on tape he admitted where he hid the gun before officers arrived, and gave himself up.

According to the report, the shooting began as an argument between the pair. Sisson claimed that the victim owed him money for the car, and gave her a CashApp card that had no money on it. The victim told police he was angry and thought she was leaving when she had just arrived to the house and parked.

Police confiscated a Smith and Wesson .45 caliber pistol that was hidden in a drawer. They also found the spent shell casing in the yard from when he fired the shot into the tire.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Sisson was booked into the Polk County Jail on the single felony charge of aggravated assault on Friday afternoon where he remained without bond set as of this posting.
