Cedartown – The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) has announced new ‘GRAD Certified Select’ sites across the state.
Included in those designations were Polk County’s Cedartown North Business Park – Phase 3 in Cedartown.
Completing the GRAD (Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development) certification program with GDEcD is a proactive way both community planners and landowners can help catalyze economic growth and industrial development in their regions.
To qualify for GRAD status, available sites must meet the program’s due diligence standards, be reviewed by a third party and earn the final approval of a board of advisors comprised of public and private sector economic development professionals.
The ‘GRAD Certified Select’ status is an indication that a site has met or exceeded more rigorous certification requirements.
“With almost 240 additional acres in a third phase of Cedartown North Business Park now being marketed as a fast-track industrial, ‘ready for development’ site, gives us an advantage to attracting more business and quality jobs to Polk County,” said Jamie Morris, Chairman-Development Authority of Polk County. “Thanks to the support and prior due diligence of the City of Cedartown and the Cedartown Development Authority, who made this a viable site for GRAD certification.”
