Three students in the Cedartown area – two high schoolers and a middle school youth – have died in the past days, and a local church wants to provide a chance for the community to gather in prayer.
A Prayer Vigil is being hosted by the Second Baptist Church of Cedartown on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. and bring the community together for healing and prayer.
“We want to join together and pray for their friends and family. We believe in the power of prayer,” the church announced on their Facebook event page for the vigil.
The vigil is being held in the church’s parking lot at 152 Evergreen Lane, Cedartown and those who want to participate can either listen outside via the sound system, or in their car on the radio.
The vigil will also be live on Facebook as well through the church’s page Wednesday evening for those who can’t attend.
For those who want to gather outside in the parking lot, Second Baptist is asking people to use masks and social distance.
Check back on Wednesday evening for more on the prayer vigil.
