
An assault in a convenience store parking lot got a Cedartown-area woman charged with a misdemeanor and taken to jail over the weekend, according to reports.
Hannah Berry, 24, of a Cedartown-area address, was released on a $500 bond on a single charge of disorderly conduct after striking the victim four time in front of the Cedartown Food Mart on Prior Station Road after midnight on Saturday, November 25.
Per the report, Polk County Police arrived at the Cedartown Food Mart after the incident occurred and the victim told police she was struck several times in the parking lot after speaking to Berry’s boyfriend.
An officer was able to watch the video and saw the incident. Afterward he found Berry’s home address, went to the residence and Berry was taken into custody without incident.
She was only charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct for the incident.
Berry was released after only a day in jail.
