The Cedartown Police Department is asking for the help of the community to find a young man who has been missing since Monday.

According to Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome, the public’s assistance is in need to help develop leads and determine where 18-year-old Jesus Betancourt-Torres might be located at this time. Please call 770-748-4123 with any information you might have.

Betancourt-Torres is a senior at Cedartown High School.

He said that Betancourt-Torres went missing Monday, February 8 from the 5th Street area in Cedartown, and hasn’t been heard from or seen since by his family.

Newsome said that no foul play is suspected, but that no possibilities are being ruled out since police have no leads to investigate as to where Betancourt-Torres might be at this time.

“We’re not ruling anything out, but we want the citizens that have information, however minor it may be, we want to hear it,” Newsome said.
