Polk County Police have identified the suspect who is now wanted for a hit and run that occurred today, and no longer has his vehicle to get around.
According to PCPD Detective Caleb Bowman, officers are now seeking Ronald F. Forsyth, 42, this evening as the main suspect in the incident.
Police previously stopped Forsyth during a traffic stop in the area around Johnson Lake and Judkin Mill Road in the Cedartown area around 4:30 p.m., but he fled from the vehicle. He was last seen in a a camouflage shirt and a black undershirt.
Those who know of his whereabouts or spot him are asked to call 911 immediately.

The Polk County Police are seeking your help today in tracking down a driver suspected of being involved in a hit and run this morning involving a pedestrian.
The PCPD posted the above picture on their Facebook page, and are requesting help in locating a 2006 Red Inifiniti M35 – Georgia Tag Number RSW9118.
Police are specifically seeking a white male who was driving the car, involved in a hit and run at Valero gas station in Cedartown at 1408 S. Main St.
The post reports that a woman was struck by the car, which then fled from the scene. She’s currently being treated at an area hospital for injuries, per PCPD Detective Caleb Bowman. He did not yet report back on how extensive those injuries are at this time.
No additional details are being released about the case at the moment, but those who might know or spot the vehicle in the community are asked to immediately contact Polk County 911 or through the non-emergency number at 770-748-3400.
