UPDATE:
The parents of a child who was found walking along Johnson Lake Road on Sunday morning were located just hours after information went up online about the Jane Doe.
Per Chief Kiki Evans, the Jane Doe’s parents were located around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.
No further information was being released as of this morning as an investigation is continuing into the incident, per the Chief.

Police are hoping the public will help them find the parents of a nonverbal child that was found in the Johnson Lake Road/Berry Road area this morning.
Polk County Police Chief Kiki Evans said it has only been a few hours since the child was located, but they are unable to gain any information from the youth as they are unable to communicate with officers. The Jane Doe was found walking in the area sometime after 8 a.m., Evans noted.

The Jane Doe is believed to be under the age of 7, and has dirty blond/brown hair and blue eyes.
Those with information on who the child might be should contact 911 or the Polk County 911 non-emergency line at 770-748-3400.
