
A man was taken into custody on Tuesday after he was accused of taking a truck from the Croker’s Hardware parking lot in mid-December, according to Polk County Police reports.
Zachery Lightsey, 24, was booked on Tuesday evening, January 3, 2023 on a felony theft by taking charge after he was accused of taking a truck from the Croker’s Hardware parking lot on December 13.
Per reports, the truck was taken after the owner was loading items within the 2006 GMC Sierra and was spotted driving at high speed heading into Haralson County by a relative, where they lost sight of the vehicle.
The relative told police they got a good look at the suspect and blamed one person who wasn’t arrested. Officers also had video surveillance footage from Croker’s Hardware to help them figure out the whodunit.
Reports didn’t state what resulted in Lightsey’s booking on Tuesday into the Polk County Jail.
He remained in custody without bond set on the felony charge as of this posting.
