Update:
The driver of a Chrysler 300 was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center after being ejected from their vehicle during a morning wreck on Highway 278, according to Georgia State Patrol’s initial report on the incident.
Per the GSP, the driver of a silver Dodge Challenger was traveling on Highway 278 when the driver of the Chrysler 300 “failed to yield to the Dodge Challenger and pulled out from a private roadway.”
After being struck by the Challenger, the Chrysler spun clockwise and came to rest in the westbound lane.
“The driver of the Chrysler was ejected during the crash and was airlifted to (Atlanta Medical Center,)” GSP reported.
Their report on the crash is thus far incomplete and additional details will follow when available.

One person was being airlifted to an area hospital and another was taken by ambulance in a wreck that occurred on Highway 278 at Grady Road, according to Polk County Police information.
Chief Kenny Dodd reported that the driver of a Chrysler 300 was seriously injured and required a LifeFlight after their vehicle collided with a Dodge Challenger while pulling out of the Highway 278 convenience center this morning.
Police already have cleared the scene and both drivers were taken to the hospital for additional treatment.
