Polk County Police arrested one woman on warrants while seeking another for charges on Monday, according to reports.

Officers arrested Ashley Denise Patterson, 32, of a Cedartown address, when they went to search for another suspect with Floyd County Police and Polk County Police detectives in tow on Tuesday, August 1 not long after noon.

Per the report, they didn’t find their suspect Macy James, but when officers searched they found Patterson instead. Patterson was wanted for five active felonies when she was taken into custody.

Amid their arrest, police noted a “purple mirror with suspected methamphetamine” located in the master bedroom of the Long Avenue residence in Rockmart.

Officers noted to the resident of the house if the methamphetamine they seized came back positive for the drug, another warrant could be added for the charge for the individual involved who wasn’t taken into custody.

Patterson remained in custody on a trio of probation violation felonies, and two additional theft by shoplifting felony charges. Bond was set for her release at $4,000.
