Mr. Phillip Anthony “Phil” Womack, age 62, of Rome, GA, passed away Friday March 28, 2025.

Mr. Womack was born May 4, 1962 in Rockmart, GA, to the late Preston Artis Womack and the late Joanne Roberson Womack.

Mr. Womack spent the majority of his life as a mechanic by trade, but found another calling later in life as a caregiver to others.

An avid music lover, he enjoyed listening to his music while he was working. His biggest hobby was working on old cars, a talent that brought him a lot of joy over the years.

He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh. All of Mr. Womack’s friends and family will remember him fondly and will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Womack is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Paul Holbrook.

Mr. Womack is survived by his siblings, Michael Earwood (Wendy), Greg Proctor, Debra Lyons (Chris), Karen Womack, and Stacey Holbrook; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Womack will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
