Mrs. Nettie Lou Knight Forrister, age 78 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

She was born on August 8, 1946 in Dearmanville, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late William Doyle and Eula Surrett Knight.

Mrs. Forrister is survived by her husband, Herbert Forrister; sons, Herb Forrister, Jr. (Karen), Gregory Lynn Forrister (Kathy), Darrell Forrister, Bradley Forrister, and Nathaniel Forrister; grandchildren, Dana Thomas (Josh), Matthew Forrister, Nicholas Forrister (Taylor), Rachel Forrister, Haley Forrister, Henslee Forrister, and Jacob Forrister; and great-grandchildren, Maddie Forrister, Paisley Forrister, Liam Thomas, Stella Thomas, and Nora Jane Forrister.

Mrs. Forrister is preceded in death by her parents and a dozen siblings.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Forrister will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Grant officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Forrister will receive family and friends on Friday, March 14, 2025 from eleven o’clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Herb Forrister, Jr., Gregory Lynn Forrister, Nathaniel Forrister, Bradley Forrister, Darrell Forrister, and Larry Elrod. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Forrister and Josh Thomas.
