
Mrs. Martha Jane Campbell McCurry, age 87, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 27, 1933 in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late John Rueben Campbell and Mary Byrd Morton Landers Campbell.
Mrs. McCurry is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, James McCurry; daughters, Terry McCurry Newberry (Michael) and Lisa McCurry King (Gary); grandchildren, Ryan McElwee (Erica), Tyler King (Lane), Hollie Jane King Nix (Zach), Megan Smith (Brandon), Dustin McElwee, Cole Rermgosakol, Lane Lundy, Hays McElwee, Allie Beth King, Addie Brooke King, Jaxon Nix, and Madie Jane Nix; great-grandchild, Carson Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McCurry is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Benjamin Franklin Campbell, Fannie Naomi Wright, Audrey Saphronia Carter, Flora Green McKibben, Ruth Maddox, Frank Campbell, JR Campbell, Billy Campbell, Sara (Wiley) Hillman, John Campbell, Aimlee Brown, Julie Weaver, C.J. Landers, E.D. Landers, Mary Atkins, and Bobby Howard Campbell.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Martha McCurry will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield and Rev. James Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. McCurry will receive family and friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
In accordance with the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, social distancing guidelines will be in place as well as the use of masks required for all services provided for Mrs. McCurry.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Billy Knight, Jeff Dingler, Bob Worthington, Robb McElwee, Randy Puckett, and Wright Gammon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Camp, Van Dingler, Ron Casey and Larry Knight.
