Mr. Robert Flippo, age 74, of Cartersville, GA and formerly of Rockmart, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021.

Mr. Flippo was born in Dunfries, VA on July 27, 1946, a son of the late John Flippo and the late Elsie Davis Flippo. Robert spent his childhood years in Virginia and had lived the past twenty-eight years in Rockmart. He was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church, was a former member of the Aragon Volunteer Fire Department, and was known by many in the Rockmart community as Santa Claus for twenty-four years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Flippo was preceded in death by his daughter, Darla Packer.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-five years, Carla Cannon Flippo, Cartersville; children: David Patrick, Millry, AL, Brian Moon, Jacksonville, AL, Aaron Moon, Alpharetta, and Amanda Brinkley, Cartersville; seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lucy Hulsey, Rockmart, Doris Eads, NC, and Pauline Lott, CA; brother, Eddie Lott, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Flippo will be cremated and celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
