Mrs. Mildred Irene Wells, age 97, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Mrs. Wells was born April 23, 1928 to the late Jewett and Eddie Lou Stephens.

She spent the majority of her career working as a seamstress for Arrow Shirt Company, where she later retired. Mrs. Wells loved her Lord and was a devoted member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Throughout her life, she displayed her faith and strength as she overcame many obstacles and made loving and lasting impression on her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, who cared for her entire family. She loved nothing more than get-togethers with her family where she could cook and have fellowship. Her favorite hobby was tending to her yard; she kept her garden and yard immaculate. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wells is preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Chesley Wells, Charles Moody, and Clarence Cauthen; daughjter, Joyce Crawford; and 8 sisters and 2 brothers.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her son, Ricky Cauthen (Anita); son-in-law, Billy Crawford; grandchildren, Mark & Greg Crawford, Dustin Cauthen, and Amanda McDurmon; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Wells will be conducted Thursday May 1, 2025 at 5:00 PM in the family lot of the Northview Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday April 30 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Litesey Funeral Home.
