KPB celebrates Earth Day with flower planting at trailhead

Potts Hollow Trailhead got a bit brighter at the start of the week after a Keep Polk Beautiful celebration.

Executive Director Randy Cook was joined on Monday afternoon, April 22 by volunteers at the trailhead on Cave Spring Road. Right around the front parking area, KPB setup a new planting box and filled it with spring flowers to spruce up the space.

The trailhead finished last summer got this latest improvement along with the group enjoying a brief hike and some cleanup duties for the annual celebration of the globe and the environment that supports everyone.

Keep Polk Beautiful also organized cleanup days earlier in the month in Cedartown and Rockmart, and continues to promote hikes and activities to help ensure the local community is a spruced up space.
