The Cedartown Kiwanis club recent gave away scholarship money to provide a student with an opportunity to become a nurse.

The club proudly presented its Lopez Scholarship of $1000 to Noelia Escutia during their June 25 meeting.

Escutia will study nursing at the University of West Georgia desiring to obtain her RN degree.

Kiwanis appreciates the community support in its annual Vidalia Onion Sale which supports the scholarship, 3rd-grade dictionary donations, and the 5th-grade Health Fair.

The award was presented at the club’s meeting at the Cherokee Country Club last week.
