HOMETOWN PHOTO: Fox friend around old Cedar Hill Senior Living makes appearance

It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a submission for a Hometown Photo, but this morning a few snapshots came in that is a reminder that nature can be a friendly neighbor.

Jarod Moss submitted a set of photos from a drive by the old Cedar Hill Senior Living (onetime Cedar Hill High School) where a foxy friend showed up to say good morning.

The fox gave Moss a chance to take a few snapshots before it turned back into the growth around the former senior living center.

After closing in 2021 during the pandemic, Cedar Hill Senior Living has shown some interest from investors but remains shuttered and without use, allowing critters like Moss’s foxy friend to call the property a new home.

REMINDER to serious snapshot artists: the Polk County Fair Photo Contest remains open for entries online. Make sure to get one now for a chance to win a subscription based on reader and fairgoer votes.
