New schedule for Cedartown as families, friends set to celebrate Class of 2025

Soon-to-be Cedartown and Rockmart alumnus will turn their tassels and throw their caps into the air next week as the school year closes and a new chapter begins for the Class of 2025.

Graduation ceremonies this year are on the calendar for Thursday evening, May 22, 2025 at 8 p.m. in Cedartown, and Friday evening, May 23, 2025 at 8 p.m. in Rockmart.

Those who are unable to attend should check for streaming options that have been available over the past few years via the Polk School District’s Facebook page.

Time changes were approved earlier in the school year for Cedartown’s graduation to allow for seniors and their families to be able to head off on Memorial Day weekend vacations or senior trips and not have to wait until after the former Saturday morning ceremony.

Both events will be held in their respective football stadiums unless rain forces them to move inside.
