UPDATE: Four arrested by Drug Task Force on Wednesday in Rockmart

The Polk County Drug Task Force arrested four people on Wednesday and seized “an amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia” during a Long Avenue raid in Rockmart.

According to Rockmart Police Assistant Chief Jonathan Fuller, the Drug Task Force commander, the arrests were made in the early afternoon of Wednesday, June 1.

Jail reports noted that Bobbie Gwen Edmonds, 50; Tamela Stegall, 57; Rodney Wade Wolfe, 55; and Tamara Wronka, 56, were all jailed on multiple charges, including methamphetamine and marijuana possession, during the raid.




Here’s the full report from Asst. Chief Fuller:

“Over several months, Polk County Drug Task Force conducted an investigation into the sale of narcotics at 422 Long Ave, Rockmart. A search warrant was executed during the early afternoon of Wednesday, June 1, 2022,” Fuller said in a statement. “An amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia was seized. Four were arrested and charged with the appropriate charges.”

“PCDTF would like to thank the Rockmart Police Department for assisting during the search warrant,” Fuller’s statement added.

Edmonds, Stegall and Wolfe all faced several felony charges including two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine.

Edmonds and Wolfe, both of the address that was raided, was charged also with felony possession of tools for commission of a crime, and misdemeanors for marijuana possession under an ounce, and possession and use of drug-related objects. She remained in jail on a $19,500 bond.

Wolfe had no bond set at all, but was noted as being released.

Stegall, of 407 Clark St., was charged also with misdemeanors for possession of marijuana under an ounce and possession and use of drug-related objects. She was being held as of this posting on a $10,500 bond.

Wronka, of 403 Pearl St., Rockmart, remained in jail on a $9,000 bond as of this posting on a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
