A Silver Creek man was released on a $36,000 bond after being arrested for warrants for drug sales taken out by the Polk County Drug Task Force

Nyjua Lajuan Philpot, 36, of 1291 Dunn Road, Silver Creek, was taken into on the Polk County Drug Task Force warrants on Tuesday on multiple felony charges.

Per DTF officials, Philpot was sought by agents after he sold methamphetamine to a uncover officer in recent months at a Rockmart area convenience store.

No additional details were released by the DTF at this time about the case.

Philpot was taken into custody Tuesday while at the Polk County Courthouse on a separate matter, per DTF officials.

He was released on the above bond after spending a day in custody and facing a hearing on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent, sale of methamphetamine and giving false name, address or birthdate to law enforcement officer.
