
A new addition to the ICAC Task Force at the Polk County Police Department increases the capabilities of local officers to combat online child predators, per the latest posting from the Polk County Police on Tuesday afternoon.
Detective Brandon Crawford now joins Det. B. Brady as the latest officer to get training and accreditation to take part in investigations and sting operations is undertaken to find those who are breaking the law online seeking inappropriate relationships with underage users, or who trade in illegal child pornography.
Det. Crawford’s work with the GBI has already produced results with an arrest made in Decatur.

We would like to congratulate Detective Brandon Crawford (#815) for recently completing strenuous training in Decatur, Georgia for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force !
While in training, Detective Crawford & Detective Brady conducted chat operations in association with the GBI. The online chat conducted by Detective Crawford led to the arrest of a predator in Decatur, Georgia!
Our agency now has two Criminal Investigators who are attached to the ICAC Task Force for our area! Detective Brady has already been attached to the ICAC Task Force for our agency for a while!
