DAPC partnering with Georgia Tech, GMEP to bring presentation to PCCCA on March 31

The Development Authority of Polk County, along with Georgia Tech and the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) are bringing a special presentation to the Polk County College and Career Academy later this month.

On Thursday, March 31, GaMEP’s “Becoming an Employer of Choice” is a talk designed to help manufacturers learn how to discover the best practices for keeping open positions filled and becoming employers of choice.

Employers will learn how to identify attributes of an engaged workforce, as well as a better understanding of how these practices can encourage business growth, productivity, reduced turnover, and improved employee safety.

The speaker for the presentation is Mike Stonecipher, Group Manager of Strategy and Leadership Development at GaMEP, who specializes in strategic planning and managing projects that will enable top-line growth for team development.

The cost to attend this event is $20 per person, which includes provided lunch.

The talk will be held from 12 PM to 1 PM in the Hon Room at the Polk County College and Career Academy, located at 167 Frank Lott Drive in Cedartown.

For any questions, contact John Zegers, GaMEP Northwest Georgia Region Manager, at john.zegers@innovate.gatech.edu, or call 404-435-9124.
