City of Cedartown Municipal Court dates to be held at CPAC through July, beginning of August

Taking a ticket to court from the City of Cedartown? Then be advised, court locations have changed since the courthouses remain closed due to an extension of the state Supreme Court’s order to remain shuttered.

The city posted on their Facebook today that court will be held on July 24, July 31 and August 7 at the Cedartown Performing Arts Center auditorium to allow for social distancing guidelines to be followed to ensure the safety of citizens as they appear in court before Municipal Court Judge Andrew B. Roper. The CPAC is located at 205 East Ave., Cedartown.

Cases were previously to be held in Polk County Courthouse No. 2.

“This is a temporary move to provide healthy and safe access to the courtroom and to maintain a healthy and safe courtroom for the public and court employees,” the city’s Facebook post reported.

The entrance will be located on the Moon Drive side of the Performing Arts Center. There is ample parking on this side of the facility. Please call 770-748-4123 for more information.
