Cedartown Police are investigating this evening after a shooting incident took place on Jule Peek Avenue this evening, according to Chief Jamie Newsome.

The victim was an 18-year-old male who was hit multiple times by gunfire in front of his residence. Their name has not yet been released by officials. They were taken for medical treatment, but no immediate information was available on their condition.

Newsome said three suspects are in custody as of this posting.

They include Alonzo Cornejo-Reyes, 27; Luis Cornejo-Reyes, 27; and a 16-year-old juvenile not identified at this time.

Additional information is expected to be released on Thursday about the incident.
